Start and stop a server at set times
A power timetable starts, stops or restarts a server by itself at the times you set. It is for your own routine, for example a test server that only has to run during working hours.
A stopped server keeps its disk and its address and is billed as before, never more than the monthly price. A timetable is not a way to pay less.
Add a line
- Open Servers in the console and open the server.
- Open the Settings tab and go to Power timetable.
- Choose the action (start, stop or restart), the days and the time, and choose Add to the timetable.
The times count in the time zone chosen above the timetable. Each line shows when it runs next and what happened the last time.
A common timetable in one go
Under Or add a common timetable you can add a ready-made set of lines at once:
| Timetable | What it does |
|---|---|
| Office hours | start at 08:00 and stop at 19:00, Monday to Friday |
| Nights off | stop at 23:00 and start at 07:00, every day |
| Weekends off | stop on Friday at 20:00 and start on Monday at 07:00 |
| Nightly restart | restart at 04:00, every day |
The lines are added all together or not at all: if one of them would fall at the same moment as a line the server already has, nothing is added and you see which one clashes. Afterwards each line can be paused or removed on its own.
Limits
A server has at most 6 lines in its timetable.
