Automatic top-ups
With automatic top-ups your servers keep running when you are not looking. You stay in control: you choose the point at which we top up, the amount and a ceiling per month, and you can switch it off at any time.
Before you can switch it on
- You have verified a card, and your bank confirmed it with 3-D Secure.
- You made your first top-up yourself.
The Billing screen tells you what is still missing.
Switch it on
- Open Billing and choose Set up automatic top-ups.
- Choose the amount of credit below which we top up, the amount of each top-up, and the most we may charge in one calendar month. The amounts are without VAT.
- Tick the box to allow these charges and choose Switch on.
How it behaves
- When your credit drops below the amount you chose, we charge your top-up to your card, with VAT on top, and you get an e-mail. It shows in your transactions as an automatic top-up.
- Counted without VAT, we never charge more than your monthly ceiling, whatever your credit does.
- When your bank wants you to confirm a charge, the charge fails and nothing is taken. We e-mail you to top up yourself.
- After a failed charge we wait before trying again. After three failed charges in a row we switch automatic top-ups off and tell you.
- Change asks for your permission again. Switch off stops it at once.
