Stavane Backups

Plan for recovery.
Before you need it.

With Stavane Backups a Compute instance is backed up on a schedule, every day at 03:00 UTC unless you set your own, and you make an extra copy yourself whenever you want one. Every copy stays linked to the instance it protects and is put back from the console.

A good fit

Built around your workload.

Recovery from deleted data, failed changes and damaged application state.

01

A separate copy

A backup keeps a separate copy of the instance, apart from its own disk. That is what you need when the disk itself is the problem.

02

Your schedule

Backups on means a daily backup. Set a backup policy of your own when you want another time, full and incremental backups in a chain, and how many chains to keep, up to 14. Make an extra copy before an upgrade or a change you are not sure about.

03

Put back from the console

Choose the copy and confirm with the name of the instance. Putting a copy back replaces everything that changed since it was made, so check that your application works afterwards.

Before you start

Know what you choose.
Know what comes next.

The price is the same share of the plan whatever a policy keeps, and it follows the plan of the instance, so you know it before you deploy. A copy lives with the instance, at the same place: keep a copy of anything you cannot lose somewhere else as well.
