Monitoring

Every five minutes we take a sample of every running server: how much of its processors and memory it uses, how full its disk is, and how much network traffic goes in and out. We keep these samples for thirty days.

The Monitoring page

Open Monitoring in the console. You see:

• Your cloud performance: the processor use of all running servers together, with the memory use dashed over it. A bigger server weighs more: one busy processor out of eight is not as busy as one out of one.
• Network traffic: inbound and outbound, in Mbit/s, all running servers added up.
• Usage per server: the newest figures of each server. A figure older than fifteen minutes is not shown.

Choose 1h, 24h, 7d or 30d above a chart. A stretch without samples stays empty: we never draw a line through something nobody measured.

The Monitoring tab of a server shows its processor and memory over the last hour, day or week, and its latest disk and network figures.
